Robert J. Flaherty

 

This blog introduces Mr. Robert. J. Flaherty who was a cinematographer  introducing the first commercially successful full-length documentary which was Nanook of the north. This documentary about the Inuit people raised ethical concerns and raised the question of how much of what audiences consumed is accurate and not manipulated by the director. Click here to look at my research.
