The Dawn Wall review

The Dawn Wall is a documentary film filmed by red bull media house which captures Tommy Caldwell's story from his childhood to his ambition for a big wall free climb. Both producers Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer clearly create tension and provide viewers with inspiration. The production inspires many as Caldwell is daring to complete a climb that might kill him as well as the fact that he was held hostage in Kazakhstan and shortly after he then lost his index finger. The naturalistic style of filming on the journey helps to establish a bond between the viewer and the climber creating a more engaging experience in the way that you felt scared for him when he dared to freeclimb after so many attempts on the harness. Notably the cinematography was amazing and would defiantly watch again.
