CGI

 

My CGI research project helped me to understand the process of creating the visual effects seen in complex films and why they are used in the horror genre. I started researching this area of filming as it is a key aspect to the production and adds to the supernatural element. When conducting my research I found that CGI is used predominantly by big film conglomerates who can afford high end graphics where as smaller indie films don't tend to use CGI for that reason. Regardless of the fact that I cannot use it it was still an important area to research and explore as it can pottery the supernatural element to a further extent and can maximise the capability of your storyline.
